SCHOOL POLICY
Burlingame Music School hopes to establish a mutual commitment with its students.
It is your responsibility to pay the full amount of your fees promptly when due without needing to be reminded.
ATTENDANCE
Your registration and tuition payment reserves your weekly time exclusively for each student.
No credit for missed lessons will be given unless due to a protracted illness or a family emergency.
Students might receive a makeup credit only if the School is notified at least 48 hours in advance. Not notified absences and no-shows will be marked as missed and will be charged. The school must be notified 2 weeks prior of discontinuing the lessons to stop billing.
RECITALS
Formal Recitals are held at our Concert Hall in Winter and Spring.
PIANO PRACTICE
An instrument for practice is essential from the first lesson. An acoustic piano (upright or grand) is strongly recommended. A digital piano is not an instrument for long-term study. As comparison, consider taking art lessons but only using pencils. The acoustic piano gives you the full palette of colors for musical expression, providing the most rewarding experience.
